On the afternoon of September 8, the National Assembly's working delegation led by Comrade Phan Van Mai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee, worked with the People's Committee of Hai Phong city. At the meeting, leaders of the City People's Committee reported to the Working Group on the results of implementing the 2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan and the expected 2026 Socio-Economic Development Plan. Over the past 7 months, the city's socio-economic situation continues to be stable and has many positive changes. The main economic indicators grew quite well over the same period. The city's GRDP after consolidation in the first 6 months of the year increased by 11.2% over the same period; Total social investment capital reached about 108 trillion VND, an increase of over 18% over the same period; Total State budget revenue in the area for 7 months is about 117 trillion VND, reaching over 79% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government, of which domestic revenue reached 66,740 billion VND, reaching nearly 90% of the estimate assigned by the Central Government and the City People's Council.

Speaking, comrade Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, acknowledged and congratulated Hai Phong city on its breakthrough development, great potential and being the driving force for economic growth of the whole country.
