On the afternoon of August 20, the Organizing Committee of the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) of Hai Phong city met to check the progress of preparations to participate in the Exhibition. Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee chaired the meeting.
In the city's exhibition area with the theme "Hai Phong - Faith and desire to grow with the country", the city chose to display outstanding images and events about the economic - cultural - social achievements of Hai Phong city over the past 80 years.
The exhibition display area of Hai Phong city is visually arranged with images, artifacts, models, documents, and the most typical and typical products of the city shown with modern technology, and at the same time shows clips showing the content according to the theme of the Exhibition. In addition, the city will organize cultural, artistic, culinary and other activities according to the instructions of the National Exhibition Organizing Committee.
Up to this point, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively coordinated with the standing agency of the Organizing Committee and the Subcommittees assisting the Central Organizing Committee to manage and implement the construction of the exhibition area of Hai Phong city to ensure completion progress, as well as security and order, fire prevention, and environmental sanitation.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also presides over the Department of Construction, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Finance and relevant agencies to implement the content and construction according to the approved design plan in indoor and outdoor areas.
Up to now, there are a total of 83 businesses and business households registered to participate in the exhibition, of which 73 businesses participate in displaying products, 10 businesses sell typical local cuisine, divided into 8 areas. Currently, businesses continue to urgently construct models and booths in the outdoor exhibition area.
At the assigned outdoor exhibition space (10,000m2), Hai Phong city arranged a small stage to serve visitors, associated with investment promotion activities.
By August 20, the Theaters under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism have completed the art program and are staging and rehearsing in time to serve the program at the exhibition yard area of Hai Phong city.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung requested relevant agencies and units to continue to urgently implement assigned tasks, speed up work progress to promptly respond to the directions of Government leaders and the Chairman of the City People's Committee, pay attention to completing the detailed design of each booth of businesses, ensure aesthetics, display effectiveness and express the city's identity, and arrange an interpretation team. (including foreign language narration), unifying the operating team's costumes at the Exhibition, arranging an area to display high-quality souvenirs, paying attention to fire prevention and fighting, and ensuring a clean and hygienic landscape.
The National Achievement Exhibition takes place at the National Exhibition Fair Center from August 28 to September 5, 2025, is an important political - cultural event, activities to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Day, welcome Party Congresses at all levels, moving towards the 14th National Party Congress; At the same time, it affirms the leadership role of the Party and State in the cause of building and protecting the Socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, especially in the reform period.
The event is also an opportunity to honor, introduce and promote the image of Hai Phong city of innovation, integration and development; reflects outstanding achievements in the city's socio-economic fields during the innovation period, especially the 2020–2025 term; At the same time, introduce the potential, strengths and position of Hai Phong to domestic and international friends.
