On the morning of August 19, in Tan Hung ward (western area of the city), Hai Phong City People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for a number of key and practical projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Projects that have been started include: Highway 37 bypass construction project (connecting Thong Nhat Bridge/National Highway 37 with Ring Road I); Project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh River and a road leading to the Ring Road I route; Project to build Martyrs' Temple and Cultural Park. All projects use budget capital, with the Tay Hai Phong Construction Investment Project Management Board as the Investor.
Attending the ceremony was comrade Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council. Also attending were representatives of a number of city departments, branches and branches and leaders of localities where the Project is implemented.
The project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh river and an access road on Ring Road I of Hai Duong city, the section from provincial road 391 to provincial road 390C is deployed in the two wards of Tan Hung and Nam Dong, with a total investment of over 1,228 billion VND. The project is being constructed to gradually complete the city's Ring Road I according to planning; Expand urban space and connect communes and wards in the western region of Hai Phong, contributing to the socio-economic development of the western region of Hai Phong in particular and Hai Phong city in general.
The project to build a bypass of National Highway 37 (the section connecting Thong Nhat Bridge/National Highway 37 with Ring Road I) is implemented with the goal of reducing the load on National Highway 37, and at the same time forming a connection route from the center of Gia Loc commune with Ring Road I of Hai Duong city (old) and provincial roads in the area (provincial road 393; provincial road 395; Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway,...); Gradually improve regional transport infrastructure; expand urban development space; create motivation for local socio-economic development. The project has a total investment of over 612 billion VND, deployed in Gia Loc commune and Thach Khoi ward.
Project The project to build the Martyrs' Temple and Cultural Park is implemented on a land area of about 2.5 hectares in Tan Hung ward. The project includes items for the Martyrs' Temple, an area of about 300 m2; The bell tower and empty floor have a construction area of about 20 m2; The square is about 1,500 m2; Memorial - relief, construction area about 256 m2; Management board office, construction area of about 140 m2 and auxiliary items: Service house; rest hut; public restrooms; technical house; Technical infrastructure, trees, walkways, lotus ponds, parking lots... area of about 22,790 m2.
With a total investment of 200 billion VND, the project will create a highlight project in the western area of the city, and at the same time this will be a place to honor the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the fight for independence for the Fatherland; Demonstrates the ethical tradition of drinking water, remember its source of the Party Committee, government and people of the city, contributing to educating patriotic traditions for future generations./.
