On the afternoon of August 16, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan on-site inspected the preparations to organize the Inauguration Ceremony and start construction of key projects and works to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Along there were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units; leaders of the People's Committees of Duong Kinh, Hai An, Ngo Quyen, and Thuy Nguyen wards; Leaders of Vietnam Airports Corporation - Joint Stock Company (ACV), Vingroup - Joint Stock Company and businesses and units coordinating to organize events.
According to the plan, Hai Phong city has 03 bridge points registered with the Ministry of Construction to be held together with the whole country, including: Inauguration ceremony of the May Chai bridge construction project and paths on both sides of the bridge invested by Vingroup - Joint Stock Company (Main bridge point), held in the area on May Chai bridge; Groundbreaking ceremony of Passenger Terminal T2 Project - Cat Bi International Airport, invested by Vietnam Airports Corporation - Joint Stock Company (ACV), held at Cat Bi International Airport area, Hai An ward; The groundbreaking ceremony for the Resettlement Area of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong Railway Project, organized by the Hai Phong Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board as the Investor, was held in Duong Kinh ward. These are the projects and works that existimportant significance in the development of transport and urban infrastructure, contributing to promoting the city's socio-economic development.
Through inspection at the bridge locations where the event took place, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan requested the local People's Committees to coordinate closely with the City Police, the City Military Command and investors to ensure security, order and traffic safety; At the same time, promoting propaganda, holiday decorations, environmental sanitation, hanging flags and banners along the routes leading to the event area, creating an excited atmosphere among the people.
Assign the City Police to develop a plan to ensure political security, social order and safety; organize traffic diversion, traffic guidance, fire and explosion prevention; Receiving and managing land after demining. The City Military Command arranged engineering forces to clear bombs, mines and explosives, ensuring absolute safety for the event.
The Department of Construction is responsible for guiding and inspecting investors to complete procedures and conditions according to regulations, ensuring the safety of project structures and tents for events. The Department of Health arranges vehicles, human resources, and medical equipment to provide emergency aid, while ensuring food hygiene and safety. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated to promote propaganda, prepare press releases, invite press agencies to attend and report. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with the Urban Environment Company to ensure environmental hygiene, arrange trees, and decorate the organization area. Hai Phong Electricity Company ensures stable and continuous power supply to serve the event.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee reminded units to urgently complete the remaining work, ensuring quality, safety and progress. At the resettlement area of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project, it is required to urgently complete the stage, canvas tent, LED screen and coordinate with Duong Kinh ward to decorate the ceremony. At Passenger Terminal T2 - Cat Bi International Airport, direct and coordinate the installation of LED screens and ensure transmission lines at bridge points. For the May Chai Bridge project, it is recommended to add formal decoration to the event area.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that the successful organization of the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies will contribute to creating a good impression, spreading the spirit of emulation to create achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, and at the same time build the image of Hai Phong as dynamic, civilized, modern and developed./.
