On the morning of October 13, 2026, the Hai Phong City People's Committee organized a Conference to meet and listen to the opinions of city businesses with the theme "Hai Phong Businesses - Connecting for Growth, Innovating for Leadership" at the City Conference and Performance Center.
Attending the Conference were Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Nguyen Quang Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry; members of the Standing Committee, members of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, leaders of the City People's Council, City People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, and more than 600 delegates representing associations, business associations, and the city's business community.
The Conference was an opportunity for the authorities to acknowledge the contributions of the business community, while frankly recognizing difficulties and shortcomings and finding solutions to promote innovative development and expand development space for businesses.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation, praised and sincerely thanked the efforts, dedication, and contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs to the city's development.
The city clearly defines the view of taking businesses as the center, considering businesses as an important driving force for growth. The development of businesses is associated with the development of the city; the satisfaction and success of businesses are important measures to evaluate the quality of leadership, administration, and the effectiveness of government services.
At the Conference, the city compiled 24 recommendations, difficulties, and obstacles from businesses. To date, out of the total of 24 received recommendations, the city's specialized agencies have responded in writing and processed 23 recommendations; 01 recommendation is awaiting guidance from central agencies. The specific resolution results focused on 05 main groups of issues such as market, production premises and fuel supply, tax policy, land rent and tax procedures, capital and credit, labor and vocational training, administrative procedures, investment support, and legal consulting.
At the conference, the City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 80 businesses for their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Hai Phong City in 2026.
Closing the Conference, on behalf of the leaders of the City People's Committee, Comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, sincerely thanked the evaluations and sharing of the VCCI leaders with the city and the city's business community; sincerely thanked the Secretary of the City Party Committee for his speech and direction at the Conference. The directions of the Secretary of the City Party Committee will be seriously absorbed by the City People's Committee and will be specifically implemented and integrated into the action plan of the City People's Committee./.
