The city successfully organized the 3rd Meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC 3) and the 2025 Investment Promotion Conference on the sidelines of the Meeting. The complex of relics and landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac was officially recognized as a World Cultural Heritage. With this result, the city now has 2 inter-regional World Heritage Sites including the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago and the World Cultural Heritage of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Relics and Scenic Landscape Complex. Social security is emphasized, the political and social situation is stable, national defense and security are maintained.
In the last months of the year, the city is determined to strive, achieve and exceed the 2025 economic growth target according to the proposed scenario. Accordingly, economic growth in the third quarter reached 13.92%, the fourth quarter reached 12.85% or more; In the last 5 months of the year, strive for annual state budget revenue to reach more than VND 53,499 billion; attracting foreign investment reached about 3.5 - 3.6 billion USD; Export turnover reached 22.6 billion USD. Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau emphasized: The task of socio-economic development to be achieved in the last months of the year is still very large. Therefore, departments, branches, localities and units need to closely monitor and closely follow the disbursement scenario and implementation status of public investment projects, striving to disburse over 100% of the capital plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Accelerate the progress of projects, develop a detailed plan on the establishment of a Free Trade Zone in Hai Phong, a Specialized Economic Zone in 2025. Research solutions to expand budget revenue sources. At the same time, urgently advise on investment plans to improvecreate, repair, and arrange working headquarters for the Public Administrative Service Center of 114 communes, wards, and special zones.
