The youth project "Exploiting seafood using nets" won first prize in Hai Phong city's self-made training equipment competition in 2022

The youth project "Seafood exploitation by net capture" by the group of authors Pham Sy Tan, Member of the District Youth Union Standing Committee, Secretary of the School Youth Union and union members, lecturers of the College of Technology, Economics and Fisheries has just excellently won the first prize in the contest "Do-it-yourself training equipment in Hai Phong city in 2022".

This is a work highly appreciated by the jury because of its highly topical equipment. During the period when Hai Phong is promoting the construction of a large fishery center associated with the Gulf of Tonkin fishing grounds, the project's initiative has contributed to clearly affirming the role of each fishing vessel at sea. They are considered mobile landmarks at sea, making an important contribution to ensuring security and order at sea, implementing and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over the sea and islands.

The project's equipment is designed with 100% remote control, such as controlling the winch to collect ropes, controlling the yokes to stretch the net, and controlling the lighting system remotely. This is a basis for fishermen to refer to, helping to promote digital transformation in the field of seafood exploitation.

In addition, the fish concentration lighting system on the ship is made 100% of LED lights, helping to save fuel when gasoline prices are rising like today.

The jury expects that the author group will have more research and practical testing to transfer technology applied on fishing boats to fishermen.

It is known that the project "Seafood exploitation by net fishing" of the above group of authors will participate in the national self-made training equipment competition scheduled to be held at the end of the year in Vung Tau city.
