(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of December 13, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities inspected the progress of the investment project to build a road from the coastal road (Km1+00) to Van Bun intersection (Ly Thai To street), Do Son district.

The project has a total investment of nearly 960 billion VND from the city budget, Do Son District People's Committee is the investor, implementation period is from 2019 - 2024. The project is deployed through the wards: Minh Duc, Ngoc Xuyen, Van Huong (Do Son district) with a length of 6.2km. The starting point of the coastal road intersection (Km1+00), the ending point of the Van Bun junction (intersection of Ly Thai To street). Of which, investment in new construction is about 3.38km, upgrading about 2.82m; At the same time, build traffic intersections, water supply systems, storm water drainage, horizontal sewers, low voltage electricity, lighting, traffic safety, sidewalks, embankments, and trees; Replace 110KV electric poles (line section Km1+100 ÷ Km2+400) with single steel poles, raise the line, ensuring static height according to current regulations.

The total area of land acquisition and clearance for the project is 16.76 hectares for 330 households and 9 organizations in 3 wards of Ngoc Xuyen, Van Huong, and Minh Duc. To date, Ngoc Xuyen ward has completed site clearance of the entire area of 80,039.2m2of 64 households and 2 organizations; Minh Duc ward has 70/70 agricultural land households and 43/65 residential land households receiving compensation; Van Huong ward has paid compensation to 78/120 households, while 52/120 households have not received compensation, filing enforcement documents for 10 households (of which 6/10 have received money and handed over the premises).

Up to this point, the Project has completed the construction bidding package for the 110KV line moving item, and is implementing the construction bidding package for the transportation and technical infrastructure items, with the construction volume reaching about 37.55%.

Through field inspection and listening to reports from departments, branches, localities and units; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho asked Do Son district to focus heavily on propaganda and mobilization of people to hand over the project construction site as soon as possible, no later than the beginning of December (lunar calendar) to stabilize daily life before the upcoming Lunar New Year, with priority given to releasing agricultural land to have enough time to load the project.

The project is being actively implemented by contractors.
The Vice Chairman assigned the People's Committee of Do Son district to coordinate with the contractor and supervision unit to re-plan the progress so that the construction process closely follows implementation, clearly stating the responsibilities of the locality and relevant units if progress delays occur, prolonging the project implementation process. The Vice Chairman also noted that the disbursement work must ensure according to the construction progress, in the immediate future focusing on site clearance and construction bidding packages. For the cleared ground, he requested the District People's Committee to assign responsibility to localities to strictly manage the land area on both sides of the road, not allowing people to illegally encroach, causing difficulties for management after completing the project and putting it into use.
