Outstanding growth, export turnover sets a new record

The work of building mechanisms and administrative reforms with a focus on reducing administrative procedures, specialized inspection, and improving the business and investment environment continues to receive attention and guidance, creating positive changes in handling procedures, contributing to improving industry and product competitiveness.
Notably, during the year, two special working groups directing the production, connection, and supply and consumption of agricultural products in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic in the South and North regions proactively coordinated with ministries, branches, localities, and mass organizations to effectively support the harvesting, transportation, distribution, and consumption of domestic and export agricultural products, reducing disruptions in agricultural product supply chains and well organizing disease prevention work on plants. crops, livestock, aquatic products... Specify guidelines and policies to promote digital transformation in agriculture

Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that in order to achieve the set goals, in the coming time, ministries, branches, units and localities need to innovate thinking, improve the forecasting of agricultural development strategies in a more timely and accurate manner, and the implementation process must be practical, effective, and bring higher value.
The Prime Minister requested that the entire Agriculture sector must set higher goals, closely follow the actual situation, concretize policies and guidelines for agricultural development, determine focus and key points, and have an implementation roadmap. At the same time, review and improve institutions to develop agriculture in depth, increase labor productivity, and move towards digital transformation; continue to promote administrative reform; diversify markets, build agricultural product brands, promote national and international products; improve agricultural product processing capacity; produce official export products of high economic value; Sustainable marine economic development, effective implementation of EC recommendations...
The Prime Minister also requested ministries, branches, units and localities to do well in fighting the Covid-19 epidemic and promoting digital transformation in agriculture; Improve the quality of material and spiritual life for farmers, especially in remote areas and disadvantaged groups in society...
