(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of March 26, at the Border Guard Command of Hai Phong city, the Border Guard Commands of provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and Thai Binh signed the Regulation on Contract for Protection of Contiguous Seas in 2024.

Speaking at the Conference to Sign the Coordination Regulations, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Ta Duy Hien, Member of the City Party Committee, Commander of the Hai Phong City Border Guard, suggested that in the coming time, adjacent units must have plans and anticipate situations that may occur at the same time, proactively coordinate to protect borders in adjacent areas and sea areas in 2024. In particular, the focus is on promptly exchanging information on the situation of sovereignty violations and seafood poaching. at sea and in maritime border areas; coordinate search and rescue, fight, prevent and combat crime and smuggling activities, trade fraud, use of electric shock, explosives, illegal exploitation of fisheries and marine resources, destruction of the marine environment and prevention and combat of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) seafood exploitation.
At the Conference, leaders of the units signed the Contract Plan for border protection in contiguous areas and seas, committing to coordinate more closely in propagating the Vietnam Border Guard Law and implementing the task of protecting sovereignty over seas, islands and bordering areas./.
