Over the past 5 years, labor relations in Hai Phong Economic Zone have been stable and developed. 87.4% of businesses apply a basic salary 7-12% higher than the regulations, the rate of employees receiving a salary increase reaches 98.7%, the salary increase period is once a year. 99.3% of workers sign labor contracts; 92.4% of workers participate in mandatory social insurance (the rest are probationary workers), working hours comply with legal regulations, many units arrange additional 2-3 Saturdays off/month, 100% of workers receive periodic health checks. Payment of salaries, bonuses, sickness, maternity, labor accident benefits... fully and promptly. 98.4% of business unions have held regular dialogues to promptly resolve workers' problems.noisy. Labor disputes and collective work stoppages decreased completely, to only 8 cases compared to 26 cases in the previous period, focusing on units without unions.
