(Haiphong.gov.vn) - Towards the 70th Anniversary of Hai Phong's Foreign Affairs Tradition Day, on the afternoon of March 18, the Hai Phong Department of Foreign Affairs organized a program to connect businesses and the Hai Phong foreign community in 2025.

Program Overview.
Participating in the program were Mr. Kees Van Baar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam; Leaders of Departments and branches: Department of Foreign Affairs, City Party Committee Office, City People's Committee Office, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Finance, Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and representatives of Foreign Business Associations, Foreigners Association: European Business Association in Vietnam (EuroCham), Dutch Business Association in Vietnam, Japanese Business Association in Vietnam - Hai Phong branch, Korean Business Association in Hai Phong, Association of Chinese Business Representatives in Hai Phong, Lien Sichuan - Chongqing Business Association in the Northern Region, Taiwanese Trade Association of Hai Phong City, foreigner associations in Hai Phong.

The city is not only an important international trade gateway but also an attractive destination for foreign investors. In the city, there are currently 1,040 FDI projects with a total valid registered investment capital of over 34.5 billion USD from investors from 38 countries and territories. In recent years, the foreign business community and foreigners living and working in Hai Phong have increasingly grown in both scale and role in the city's socio-economic life. There are currently over 18,000 citizensForeigners from 101 countries and territories are living and working in Hai Phong. The cohesive business community and the foreign community living and working in the friendly city, deeply integrating with the city's social life, contribute to creating the image of Hai Phong as an open, friendly and livable city.
