(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of January 28, An Duong district People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of An Duong district central park. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Do Manh Hien - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Le Anh Quan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Dinh Chuon - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee; Le Tri Vu - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Le Trung Kien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board; along with representatives of leaders of city departments, branches and local leaders.

The project to renovate and embellish An Duong district's central park has a total investment of over 54 billion VND from public investment capital invested by the district Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project was started in May 2021 with a construction scale of nearly 3.86 hectares including main items: Lake embankment, traffic road system, walkways, frontage roads, fountains, central square; renovate and build an octagonal rest hut in the floating island area in the middle of the lake with the highlight of the peach blossom petal symbol along with a system of paths, power supply systems, lighting, sound, decorative lights, water supply and drainage systems and modern, synchronous architectural works... the green tree system is renovated and newly planted with many types to promoteCreate green space, friendly ecological environment.

In the park grounds, appropriate fitness and sports equipment will be arranged to serve people who come to have fun and exercise. The square area will be used as a venue for political, cultural and artistic events of the district.

After nearly 9 months of starting construction, with the efforts and high determination of the District People's Committee, the investor and related units, the project has now completed phase 1, put into use promptly to serve the people celebrating the traditional Tet 2022.

The project is completed and put into use, contributing to the development of a civilized, modern, green, clean, beautiful and friendly landscape architectural space. Renovate the urban area to meet aesthetic, civilized and modern requirements according to planning goals, create more community living space as well as complete urban criteria to build An Duong district to become a district administrative unit before 2025 in the spirit of the resolution of the 16th City Party Congress, the Resolution of the 18th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

Speaking at the Inauguration Ceremony, Mr. Le Anh Quan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee highly appreciated the role of the project, this will be the highlight and mark of An Duong district on the path of socio-economic development, becoming a new urban area in the future of the city. He said that recently, the City Party Secretary signed a Decision to establish a Steering Committee to develop a project to turn An Duong district into a district administrative unit before 2025. He requested the district leaders to continue to be more determined for urban beautification work, especially relocating the offices of degraded units to new locations, and gaining golden land funds for public social security works., prioritize allocating resources to build An Duong urban area to become a type 1 urban area in the near future.
