On the morning of March 19, 2024, the City Tax Department hosted a conference to evaluate the current status of implementing the application of electronic invoices for each sale at petroleum retail stores until March 15, 2024 and agreed on the content of the plan to inspect and urge the application of electronic invoices for the remainder of March 2024. Attending the conference was the Director of the City Tax Department, together with representatives of relevant departments and agencies, including representatives of the Department of Finance.

The conference heard the leaders of 04 interdisciplinary groups reporting on the implementation of electronic invoices at retail stores and petrol pumps of businesses in Hai Phong city. Here, leaders of groups and representatives of departments and agencies also discussed and gave opinions and solutions to overcome cases where businesses and petrol stations have not applied electronic invoices in the sales process. Accordingly, as of March 15, 2024, a total of 114/137 businesses and 150/216 retail gasoline stores have completed the application of electronic invoices for each sale.

Speaking at the conference's conclusion, Director of the City Tax Department, Mr. Ha Van Truong, emphasized that inter-sectoral teams strictly carry out assigned tasks according to Resolution No. 28/NQ-CP dated March 5, 2024 on the regular Government meeting in February 2024, in which: "Strengthening urging, supervision, inspection and drastically implementing the management and use of electronic invoices for activities Operate petroleum business and retail in accordance with the Prime Minister's instructions in Official Telegrams No. 1123/CD-TTg dated November 18, 2023, 1284/CD-TTg dated December 1, 2023; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance to direct competent forces to consider and handle petroleum trading enterprises until March 31, 2024. Failure to comply with chemical regulationselectronic applications, including requests to suspend business operations and revoke licenses and certificates of business eligibility according to the provisions of law.”
Representatives of the units participating in the meeting at the Conference agreed and agreed to urgently continue to urge the remaining businesses to complete the application of electronic invoices at stores and gas pumps before March 31, 2024. In case businesses or gas stations do not comply and cannot follow the schedule, the inter-sectoral unit is responsible for reporting the reasons and taking remedial measures according to regulations.
