(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of February 9, comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and members of the Working Group attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the PBAT Biodegradable Plastics Factory Construction Project of An Phat Holdings Group.

This is the first green raw material factory in Southeast Asia, in the list of High-Tech projects prioritized for investment, located in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Hai Phong), with a capacity of 30,000 tons/year, expected to be completed after 24 months. With a total investment capital of up to 120 million USD, when put into operation, the factory will meet 100% of the raw material needs of An Phat Holdings Group, while also serving international export goals.
Currently, the Group has received the transfer of factory design processes and technology from Technip Zimmer - the world's leading provider of technology solutions and designs for large-scale and complex industrial plants. Through this project, the Group will close the green circular ecosystem from input to product output, becoming the first Vietnamese enterprise to successfully produce 100% biodegradable plastic materials and products and officially participate in the world green materials network. The cost of green products will decrease by 20% - 30% when the PBAT factory comes into operation.

On behalf of the city leaders, Mr. Le Anh Quan, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, welcomed and congratulated the Investor - PBAT An Phat Holdings Production Joint Stock Company for choosing a factory location in Hai Phong and being granted a Project investment registration certificate by the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board. He stated clearly that this project is in line with the orientation of developing the high-tech industrial pillar of Hai Phong city in 2022 and the following years.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Investor to urgently carry out the procedures in accordance with the requirements and regulations in the Investment Registration Certificate to soon start construction in the first quarter of 2022 and put the entire project into operation in 2024. Hai Phong City pledges to create all conditions and direct the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and relevant agencies to closely coordinate and support the Investor. investment during the construction and operation of the Project.
At the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and members of the Working Group, leaders of Hai Phong city, Hai Duong province, Yen Bai and leaders of An Phat Holdings pressed the groundbreaking button for the project.
