According to a report from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the entire city currently has 26 units participating in the collection, transportation, and treatment of household solid waste. In urban areas, the capacity and condition of equipment and vehicles of 4 units participating in performing daily solid waste collection and transportation services basically meet the requirements for performing tasks. Treatment technology mainly follows the hygienic burial method at 03 city-level treatment zones: Trang Cat, Dinh Vu, Gia Minh. The reused and recycled part is processed at Trang Cat Solid Waste Treatment Complex (producing humus and crushing bulky garbage). In rural areas, tools and means of collecting and transporting household solid waste are old and lacking, most of them are converted, homemade, and not suitable.compatible with the collection process using modern technology, causing difficulties in surveying and building economic-technical norms and unit prices. The 92 temporary landfills are mainly simple landfills, unhygienic, do not meet technical and environmental standards, often face overload, high risk of pollution, consuming a lot of land area. The management and implementation of environmental sanitation in some localities is not drastic, leading to the emergence of many small spontaneous landfills...
