(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 19, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho and leaders of relevant functional branches on the field inspected the entire progress of the implementation of the Nam Dinh Vu sea dyke construction investment project in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone.

The Nam Dinh Vu sea dyke project has a construction scale of 12,769m in length, starting from K2+253 and ending at K15+022 (intersecting with the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen route), with the goal of preventing storms, protecting the safety of life and property, and projects operated by domestic and foreign organizations and individuals operating in the Dinh Vu Peninsula, creating conditions for sustainable development of the Economic Zone. Dinh Vu - Cat Hai according to the tasks approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 145/2009/QD-TTg dated February 3, 2009, contributes to ensuring security and defense in the coastal area of Hai Phong.

According to the report of the Management Board of Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects and Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, up to this point, the construction packages of sections from K2+235 to K10+246 and culverts A1 and A2; In the section from K10+246 to L15+022, A3 culvert and service road, the contractor has completed the long connection and basically completed sanding the dyke foundation from the natural ground level to the +2.0m elevation, completed all precast concrete structures for the dyke roof, and is focusing on constructing stone slabs for the base of the tray, stone slabs for the embankment roof, filling soil for the dyke body...

Through inspection and listening to reports at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho stated that this is a Group A Project, being implemented in a sea area with complex geological terrain, affected by maritime factors and within the scope of activities with frequent passage of ships. However, the Project Management Board and construction contractors have made a highly concentrated effort so that the Project can basically meet the critical schedule. According to the plan, the project is expected to be completed in September 2025. To speed up the construction progress, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Tho requested the Project Management Board and contractors to focus on human resources, vehicles, machinery, materials and equipment to speed up progress.
