According to statistics of the Customs Department, in February 2022, the state budget revenue of the Customs sector reached 12,071 billion VND, reaching 18.97% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (63,630 billion), reaching 18% of the target assigned by the General Department of Customs (67,050 billion), reaching 17.60% of the target assigned by the City People's Committee. Hai Phong city delivered (68,600 billion).
The Hai Phong area alone earned 10,307 billion VND, reaching 18.43% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance (55,930 billion), reaching 17.53% of the target assigned by the General Department of Customs (58,800 billion), reaching 17.18% of the target assigned by the People's Committee of Hai Phong city. (60,000 billion); an increase of 23.86% over the same period in 2021.
Achieving such results is partly based on the positive import and export situation of goods, partly due to the fact that the City Customs Department has directed its affiliated Branches to seriously implement state budget revenue management from the beginning of 2022 through focusing on implementing solutions: strengthening the prevention of revenue loss, focusing on reviewing and firmly grasping the tax debt situation, classifying debt groups that can be collected and debts that cannot be collected; Focus on checking quantity, value, code, and origin; modernize tax collection management, increase the number of banks coordinating electronic tax collection and payment 24/7,...
Also according to the Hai Phong Customs Department, in February 2022, the total import-export turnover of goods is estimated to reach 7,612.59 million USD, up 27.85% over the same period in 2021. Of which: export turnover reached 3,501.49 million USD, up 30.10% over the same period in 2021; Export turnover with tax reached 21.90 million USD, up 46.17% over the same period in 2021. Import turnover reached 4,111.11 million USD, up 26.% over the same period in 2021; Import turnover with tax reached 1,673.09 million USD, an increase of 25.63% over the same period in 2021.
In terms of each specific product: import turnover of automobiles, auto parts, motorbikes, gasoline, beer and wine, iron and steel, cosmetics, machinery and equipment increased compared to the same period in 2021. Of which, automobile products reached 90.77 million USD, an increase of 34.65%; Auto parts and components reached 61.59 million USD, an increase of 47.34%; Motorcycle products reached 1.03 million USD, an increase of 147.29%; Petroleum products reached 62.16 million USD, an increase of 54.23%; beer and wine products reached 0.96 million USD, an increase of 39.52%; Iron and steel products reached 295.61 million USD, an increase of 54.98%; Cosmetic products reached 0.41 million USD, up 1.52%; machinery and equipment products reached 1,518.85 million USD, an increase of 17.35%.
Taxed import turnover of automobiles, auto parts, motorbikes, gasoline, beer and wine, iron and steel, and cosmetics also tends to increase compared to the same period in 2021. Specifically, automobile products reached 90.77 million USD, an increase of 35.66%; Auto parts and components reached 33.72 million USD, an increase of 16.56%; Motorcycle products reached 1.03 million USD, an increase of 147.29%; Petroleum products reached 61.05 million USD, an increase of 54.47%; beer and wine products reached 0.94 million USD, an increase of 43.78%; Iron and steel products reached 247.48 million USD, an increase of 52.72%; Cosmetic products reached 0.41 million USD, an increase of 1.57%.
To strive to achieve the goal of completing the state budget revenue target in 2022, the Customs Department has asked affiliated and subordinate units to focus resources on drastically implementing basic tasks right from the beginning of the year. In particular, units need to develop and deploy drastically and synchronously action plans to reform administrative procedures, modernize customs work, improve the business environment, and enhance national competitiveness in 2022 according to the Government's request.
At the same time, there are measures to remove difficulties for production and business, ensuring social security to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic; Regularly accompany, answer and thoroughly remove difficulties and obstacles related to customs procedures, tax policies... to facilitate import and export activities of goods for the business community.
