(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 13, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council held a meeting to agree on the content and time of the 14th session (thematic session) of the XVI City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. Comrade Pham Van Lap, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council chaired the meeting.
In attendance were comrades: Cao Xuan Lien, Member of the City Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the city's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

Up to this point, the contents submitted to the 14th Session (thematic session) at the request of the City People's Committee basically ensure the process, time and progress. Among the 8 contents agreed upon at the previous Meeting, there is 1 content on Changing forest use purposes. The project to renovate and embellish the banks of the Cam River from the confluence of Ruot Lon River to the end bank of Vu Yen island has not been fully guaranteed according to regulations, so it was not presented at this Meeting.

The City People's Committee continues to propose 4 other contents, including: Hai Phong city urban development program, orientation to 2040, vision to 2050; Adjusting the settlement of state budget revenues in the area; Final settlement of local budget revenues and expenditures in 2022; Support funding to build inspection and supervision stations on rivers and bays under the Border Guard Command of Hai Phong port; Supplementing non-business payrolls with salaries from the state budget and adjusting the number of labor contracts in educational non-business units in the city in 2024... Thus, it is expected that there will be 11 contents presented at the 14th Session (thematic session) of the XVI People's Council and the meeting is expected to be held on Friday, March 22, 2024.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap emphasized that this is a very important meeting that needs to be carefully prepared, so he requested the leaders of the City People's Committee to direct departments and branches to urgently review the contents, complete the dossier in accordance with the provisions of law, ensure timely progress, and send it to the Committees of the City People's Council for verification according to the process, ensuring quality. The Chairman of the City People's Council assigned the City People's Council Committees to immediately verify the draft Resolution documents when transferred by the City People's Committee, ensuring progress and compliance with regulations.
