(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 5, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung listened to a report on the recommendations of a number of households whose land was recovered to implement the investment project to build technical infrastructure of the new urban area North of Cam River in Tan Duong commune, Thuy Nguyen district. Also attending the work were leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

Implementing the project Investment in construction of technical infrastructure in the new urban area North of Cam River, Thuy Nguyen district has organized the implementation of site clearance work since April 2017. Up to this point, the district has counted 2,786/2,788 households, of which 1,300 households have houses on the land; paid money to 968/1300 households.
During the project implementation, some households have petitioned for compensation, support, and resettlement for land acquisition. At this morning's meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung heard the opinions and recommendations of 06 households, including: Mr. Nguyen Huy Reo, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong, Mr. Cao Van Dung, Mr. Le Van Huu (aka Le Huu), Mr. Le Van Thuy and Ms. Tran Thi Hai Yen all in Tan Duong commune, Thuy Nguyen district.

Accordingly, households proposed issues related to granting resettlement land, redefining the time of land use, recognizing currently used land as residential land, proposing to separate land into plots...
At the meeting, after listening to the opinions and recommendations of households, along with compensation and support plans, and the content of resolving Thuy Nguyen district's recommendations related to land area, origin of land use, current land use status, compensation, support, and resettlement plans, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung said that the records and land origin of households are currently unclear.

The Chairman assigned the Departments, branches and localities, based on the opinions attended at the meeting, to continue to check and review records, land origin, and compensation plans in the direction of applying all policy mechanisms to ensure people's rights on the basis of the provisions of law.
The Chairman also emphasized that, in fact, there are currently policies that exceed the Chairman's authority, requiring a meeting to discuss and reach consensus among the city's leadership. The Chairman said that after thorough research and specific work with sectors, the city will officially respond on compensation, support, and resettlement for 06 households. When these cases are resolved, similar households will also be resolved in the same way. Accordingly, it is expected that early next week, the Chairman of the City People's Committee along with functional departments and branches will meet to discuss and listen to the above issue again.
