In 2021, the city will renovate telecommunication cables on 48 routes with a total length of nearly 52 km.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - The City People's Committee has just issued Document 1355/UBND-KSTTHC requesting Departments, branches, branches, districts and related agencies and units to strengthen coordination in implementing projects related to telecommunications infrastructure in the city. Create conditions for businesses to complete licensing procedures for temporary use of sidewalks to renovate and upgrade technical infrastructure to underground telecommunications peripheral cables.
Proactively report and propose to the City People's Committee plans to invest in shared technical infrastructure such as: technical trenches, tunnels... synchronously for industries and fields: electricity, water, telecommunications, cable television... on existing streets in the inner city and in the centers of districts.
The City People's Committee also requested Hai Phong Electricity Company Limited to coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications, Telecommunications and Cable TV businesses and districts to actively decorate, bundle and recover peripheral telecommunications cables hanging on electric poles under their management. Increase responsibility in implementing new suspended license regulations; Check and handle cable car situations that do not comply with regulations and standards, potentially causing safety and urban aesthetics as prescribed.
In addition, carry out the recovery of unused cables on electric pole systems at projects under construction in the city's areas.
In 2021, the Department of Information and Communications presided over and coordinated with Telecommunications and Cable Television enterprises and Hai Phong Electricity Company Limited to complete the construction of equipping shackles, tips, cable support accessories and embellishment of telecommunication cables on 48 routes with a total length of nearly 52 km; Completed the work of embellishing and compacting cables in 149 corners... Undergrounding 100% of peripheral telecommunications cables on 04 routes: Hoang Van Thu, Dinh Tien Hoang, Nguyen Duc Canh, Tran Phu and part of Lach Tray road with a total length of about 8km of the route, equivalent to more than 9km of cable routes.
The embellishment work not only stops at compacting but also carries out clearance and treatment of derelict cables, thereby contributing to urban beautification, bringing an airy space, ensuring safety, and improving the quality of life of city residents.
