(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 21, the city's Department of Science and Technology organized a conference to launch the emulation movement to research, promote initiatives, and improve techniques to implement the city's 2024 theme. At the Conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Dinh Vinh said: Recently, the movement to promote initiatives, improve techniques, and rationalize production in the city has been in order and has been widely deployed from grassroots to city levels. Localities and units are increasingly proactive and paying more attention to activities to promote initiatives in their units. The good implementation of initiatives in agencies and units has been bringing great socio-economic effects, playing an important role in all fields from management to production, contributing to improving working conditions, increasing labor productivity, increasing management efficiency, saving raw materials and fuel, improving reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness.activities of organizations, agencies and units in the city.
Up to now, the initiatives proposed for consideration and recognition at the city level are increasingly of better quality, many effective initiatives have been applied and replicated throughout the city. In 2023 alone, the City Department of Science and Technology received 83 initiatives from 14 districts, 12 Departments, branches, 04 Party Committees, unions, 03 businesses in the city. The number of agencies and units with initiatives and participants is also larger and more expansive than in 2022. The number of initiatives proposed for consideration at the city level in 2023 (83 initiatives) increased 169% compared to 2022, of which the field of Administrative Reform had 39 initiatives; Other fields 44 initiatives. The Chairman of the City People's Committee issued Decision No. 451 on recognizing the titleThe application efficiency and scope of city influence for 63 initiatives in 2023 (exceeding the target assigned by the City People's Committee according to the plan at the beginning of the year - 50 initiatives, reaching 126%), this is also the motivation for groups and individuals to actively research, thereby having more initiatives and creativity applied to production practice.
