(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of August 26, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong received a courtesy call on the Commander of the Indonesian Navy Ship led by Rear Admiral Supardi, Director of the Indonesian Naval Academy.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong welcomed the Commander and the Delegation of officers and sailors of the Indonesian Navy Ship and the Indonesian Navy Academy students to pay a courtesy visit to Hai Phong city, in the context that Vietnam and Indonesia are constantly promoting their strategic partnership to new heights on the basis of a long-standing traditional relationship with many parallel and strategic benefits. At the same time, inform the Delegation about the potentials and advantages of Hai Phong such as: convergence of all 5 types of traffic and advantages of being a gateway to the sea with a deep-water port, planned as one of two special-level ports in Vietnam.

Out of a total of 954 FDI projects with a total investment capital of nearly 31 billion USD currently present in the city, there is 01 Indonesian enterprise granted an Investment License in 2013 with a total investment capital of 11 million USD. Import-export turnover through Hai Phong port to the Indonesian market in 2023 is: export 30 million USD; Imported 45 million USD. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong believes that the visit of the Indonesian Navy ship to Vietnam this time will contribute to further tightening the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia in general and the cooperative relationship between the two countries' navies in particular.
