The social housing project in Trang Due urban area - commercial services and workers' housing in An Duong district is the third social housing project to be started in the city from the beginning of 2023 until now. The project has a construction investment scale of over 2,500 apartments, with 10 15-storey apartment buildings, ensuring accommodation for more than 9,000 workers, with a model of building social housing in the heart of an urban area combined with an industrial park. Total project investment is nearly 1,600 billion VND; Project preparation and implementation progress: Quarter 2/2023 to Quarter 4/2025.

Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho stated that, with 14 Industrial Parks established and operating; Many other industrial zones and clusters are being rapidly deployed. Hai Phong has attracted over 190,000 workers, including about 67,000 workers from outside the province.
In Trang Due Industrial Park alone, there are currently 113 domestic and foreign investors operating and is the workplace of over 50,000 workers, so the need for worker housing is huge.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed that Hai Phong city always determines the goal of economic development coupled with ensuring social well-being, ensuring progress and social justice, improving the quality of people's lives. Developing social housing and worker housing is always considered a key task and is included in the targets in the city's 5-year and annual socio-economic development plan. In the coming time, the city will continue to promote the implementation of social housing projects, especially housing for workers; At the same time, we are determined to complete the investment in construction of 33,500 social housing units before 2030, exceeding the plan assigned to the city by the Prime Minister in the Construction Investment Project í.At least 01 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030 in Decision No. 338 dated April 3, 2023.
The Vice Chairman requested the Investor to organize the construction of the project to ensure that there is synchronous technical infrastructure, especially utilities serving the residential community such as kindergartens, medical stations, cultural houses... to ensure the life and activities of workers and employees. Along with that, research, calculate, and propose selling, rental, and lease-purchase prices of apartments in accordance with the average income of workers and employees; Announce publicly, widely and transparently so that policy beneficiaries can easily access them.
