On the morning of November 3 in Cat Hai district, Vingroup held the inauguration ceremony of the smart electric motorbike factory and launched the first product line - VinFast Klara. Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Nguyen Thi Nghia, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Dinh Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Tran Ky Hinh, Director of the Vietnam Register; together with members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee; Representatives of leaders of Departments, Boards, branches, districts and city districts.
After 14 months of construction, Vingroup has officially inaugurated the VinFast smart electric motorbike factory under the VinFast automobile and electric motorbike manufacturing complex in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Industrial Park, with 3 main workshops that will come into operation from today including: welding workshop, painting workshop and assembly workshop. The factory is built on an area of 6.4 hectares with a design capacity of 250,000 vehicles per year in phase 1 and can be expanded to 1 million vehicles per year. When in operation, this will be the most modern two-wheeled vehicle factory in Southeast Asia, with the manufacturing process being maximally automated at every stage by robots imported from leading European and Japanese manufacturers.
At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice President and General Director of Vingroup, said that the inauguration of the VinFast smart electric motorbike factory and the launch of the Klara model with a comprehensive ecosystem have partly affirmed Vingroup's commitment to serious investment. With durable - smart - ecological features, VinFast electric motorbikes are following the environmentally friendly trend of the world two-wheeled vehicle industry, contributing to reducing noise pollution and emissions for the community. Speaking at the Inauguration Ceremony, comrade Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council expressed his joy to welcome the inauguration of the new factory and new products. The Secretary of the City Party Committee affirmed that this can be considered a memorable milestone on the path of industrialization and modernization of the Port city. The event is not only the beginning of a new line of Vietnamese-branded electric motorbikes in Hai Phong, but also a memorable milestone of Vietnam's industry on the path to international integration. The Secretary believes that with the high professionalism of Vingroup, and the most advanced and modern technological process in the world, it is being applied to produce electric motorbikes, Vinfast cars and other products.The products of the Vinfast Automobile Manufacturing and Manufacturing Factory Complex will be widely used by consumers in the city as well as the whole country, contributing to enriching the national pride of every Vietnamese person, and at the same time standing shoulder to shoulder with famous brands in the world.
On this occasion, VinFast was awarded an Investment Certificate by Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung, adjusting the total investment capital for the Electric Car and Motorcycle Production Project Complex to VND 70,337 billion.
