Of which, the transportation group had the highest increase of 1.55% due to the influence of the increase in gasoline and oil prices on October 6, 2018, although during the month there was a decrease in gasoline prices on October 22, 2018, causing gasoline prices to increase by 3.45% (overall CPI impact increased by 0.14%). The education group increased by 0.58% (educational services increased by 0.65%, causing the general CPI to increase by 0.03%) because in the month there were 7 localities implementing the tuition increase roadmap. Housing and construction materials group increased by 0.31%; food goods and services increased by 0.22% (food increased by 0.15%; foodstuffs increased by 0.18%; eating out at home increased by 0.34%); garments, hats, and shoes increased by 0.15%; household appliances and equipment increased by 0.11%; culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 0.09%; drinks and tobaccoincreased by 0.03%; medicine and medical services increased by 0.02%; Other goods and services increased by 0.09%. The post and telecommunications group alone decreased by 0.04%.
Basic inflation in October 2018 increased by 0.13% compared to September 2018 and increased by 1.67% over the same period in 2017. Average basic inflation in the 10 months of 2018 increased by 1.43% compared to the average in the same period in 2017.
Gold price index in October 2018 increased by 0.12% compared to September 2018; down 1.78% compared to December 2017; decreased by 2.19% over the same period in 2017. US dollar price index in October 2018 increased by 0.20% compared to September 2018; increased 2.80% compared to December 2017 and increased 2.82% compared to the same period in 2017./.
