Information at the Press Conference, Director of the Hai Phong City Statistics Department Le Gia Phong said that the socio-economic situation of Hai Phong in the first 6 months of 2024 continues to maintain growth momentum, ranking 5th in the country and 2nd in the Red River Delta.

Total State budget revenue in the city in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated at 62,716.4 billion VND, reaching 58.74% of the estimate assigned by the City People's Council and equal to 138.99% over the same period last year.
Gross regional product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated to increase by 10.32% over the same period last year (2024 plan to increase by 11.50% - 12%). Industrial production in the area prospered and achieved positive results, the next quarter was higher than the previous quarter (first quarter increased by 13.31%, second quarter increased by 17.12%). The added value of the service sector in the first 6 months of 2024 increased by 8.54% over the same period last year, ranking 6th in the country.

Regarding the economic structure in the area in the first 6 months of 2024, the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector accounts for 3.7%, the industry - construction sector accounts for 50.49%; service sector accounts for 40.06%; Product tax minus product subsidies accounts for 5.75%. The city's entire industrial production development index (IIP) in the first 6 months of 2024 is estimated to increase by 15.24% over the same period last year.
