Speaking at the reception, Minister Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz thanked Minister Nguyen Chi Dung for taking the time to welcome the delegation and said that through this working visit to Vietnam, Cuba wishes to learn from Vietnam's experiences in improving science and technology, and at the same time seek opportunities to promote investment cooperation between the two countries.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said that Vietnam is especially interested in Cuba's Mariel Special Economic Zone, and encourages Vietnamese businesses to increase and expand investment in Cuba to bring economic benefits to both countries. Especially in the field of tourism and services, Cuba still has a lot of potential that Vietnamese businesses can invest in.
At the meeting, the two sides said that trade, economic and investment cooperation between Vietnam - Cuba is still modest and not commensurate with the potential of the two countries and expressed their hope that the two sides will continue to have measures to promote investment cooperation in the coming time./.
