On the afternoon of July 24, Comrade Tran Hong Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for key projects and important national projects in the railway sector, and the Working Group inspected and directed the scene of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.
Attending the working program were comrades Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments, branches, units and localities.
At the working session, the delegation listened to reports from functional units on the progress of project implementation, focusing on site clearance and preparing resettlement areas to serve the commencement of project items in the city on August 19 and December 19, 2025.
After listening to the report, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh requested the consulting unit to urgently identify route directions and landmarks so that localities have a basis for specifically determining the site clearance area. Regarding site clearance work, the Minister noted that Hai Phong city needs to listen carefully and grasp the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people; As far as possible, prioritize on-site resettlement plans to minimize disruption to people's lives. The Minister emphasized that the implementation process needs to ensure publicity and transparency of policies, and carry out propaganda and advocacy work well to create consensus among the people, contributing to speeding up the progress of handing over the site. Units and localities need to coordinate closely and proactively solve problemsdifficulties and obstacles, focus highest on the task of project implementation and completion on schedule.
The Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project is a national key project of particular importance in connecting inter-regions, promoting socio-economic development, enhancing cargo and passenger transport capacity, contributing to the goal of developing a modern and synchronous transport infrastructure system./.
