On the morning of October 5, the City Tax Department held a Conference to commend organizations and individuals for good compliance with tax law policies in 2016 and to disseminate a number of new tax policies and procedures in 2017. Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director in charge of the City Tax Department Ha Van Truong said: In the last 3 years, the city's budget revenue has grown very strongly. In 2017, the city set a goal and determination to achieve domestic revenue of 21,500 billion VND, exceeding nearly 20% of the central estimate and increasing 26% over the same period. In the first 9 months of 2017, the whole city collected 15,126 billion VND, reaching 84% of the ordinance estimate, 70% of the People's Council estimate and equal to 120% over the same period. The results of budget revenue have created resources for investment in city development, especially large projects of strategic significance to the city's development.
The results and achievements achieved in the past year by the Hai Phong Tax Department were due to the close direction of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, the City Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee of Hai Phong city; Close coordination of departments and especially the consensus and companionship of the business community, entrepreneurs and individual taxpayers.
