On the morning of October 5, in Cat Hai island district (Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone), Dinh Vu Industrial Park Joint Stock Company held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Hai Phong International Gateway Port Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project (DEEP C III).

The new industrial park has a total area of 520 hectares, with an investment capital of nearly 5,500 billion VND, convenient traffic connections with the 100,000 DWT Lach Huyen international deep-water port, Tan Vu - Lach Huyen bridge, Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway and Hai Phong - Ha Long - China Expressway... expected to welcome suppliers in the automotive sector, companies operating in the logistics and industrial industry. general, light industry due to its strategic location for business activities in the ASEAN region.
The industrial park is built and formed on the basis of the Belgian port model, similar to the model of Antwerp port and Ghent port, the key point is the direct connection between the seaport and the mainland industrial park. This model will bring businesses many important advantages, optimizing the construction of infrastructure and utility systems to maximize supply chain efficiency and added value.
Mr. Frank Wouters - General Director of DEEP C Industrial Park said, with the main goal of implementing the ecological industrial park initiative towards a sustainable industrial park model in Vietnam, DEEP C aims to reduce emissions and waste, providing ecological solutions for investors, not simply meeting the requirements and trends of sustainable development and international integration.
Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung acknowledged and appreciated the positive contribution of Dinh Vu Industrial Park Joint Stock Company in the city's socio-economic development process and becoming a typical model of cooperative relations. In order for the Industrial Park to come into operation and promote investment efficiency, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the investor to focus resources on speeding up the progress of infrastructure construction. During the construction process, special attention should be paid to environmental protection issues. At the same time, it is necessary to immediately deploy investment promotion activities to attract modern, environmentally friendly technology projects and high value-added products... The City Chairman pledged to direct Cat Hai district to highly focus on work. Land acquisition and handover to the industrial park soon;Assign the authorities to ensure good security and order during project implementation; Soon complete the connection of transport infrastructure... The Chairman of the City People's Committee also requested that relevant departments, branches, units and localities need to coordinate closely, support and create conditions for investors, and regularly report to city leaders on the progress of project implementation.

On the occasion of the Groundbreaking Ceremony, GELEX Investor and DEEP C III Industrial Park signed a principle agreement to lease 50 hectares of land to build an electrical equipment production complex. Accordingly, GELEX plans to build a 50ha electrical equipment complex with a total investment capital of about 300,000 USD.
