(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On March 17, Hai Phong Youth Union organized the program "Border March", launched the "Peak day of joining hands to build new rural areas, model new rural areas" and Green Sunday 2024 in Tien Lang district and Cat Hai district with a total mobilized resource of more than 300 million VND.
This is a meaningful and practical activity to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024) and Youth Month 2024, 65 years of Border Guards' Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2024), 35 years of National Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2024).

At Vinh Quang Border Guard Station (Tien Lang district), the Youth Union organized the program "Border March" in 2024. The Youth Union presented 01 Administrative Map of Vietnam in response to the "Proud of a River" Campaign to the Border Guard Station; donated 1 gift to Vinh Quang Border Guard Station, worth 2 million VND; presented 10 gifts to children of officers and soldiers of Tien Lang district working at the border and on islands; awarded 6 scholarships "Elevating children to school" for children of officers and soldiers at Vinh Quang Border Guard Station; donated 200 seedlings (worth 20 million VND) to Vinh Quang Border Guard Station (total support resources worth 42 million VND).

On this occasion, delegates participated in planting trees at the Nam Trieu Channel Management Station route. Delegates planted 10,000 trees with a total value of more than 100 million VND. The activity aims to demonstrate the cooperation and contribution of the city's youth to the work of restoring watershed forests, developing trees, protecting the environment, responding to climate change, contributing to propaganda and education to raise awareness and responsibility of union members and youth about the role and importance of trees, and the urgency of planting and protecting forests and protecting natural resources.
