On the evening of October 3, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs organized a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival program for children with the theme "Mid-Autumn Festival giving love". Attending the program were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam, representatives of leaders of departments, branches, unions, city social organizations, representatives of the Japanese EFA organization, representatives of the People's Committees of districts and more than 700 children from social protection centers and Hermann Gmeiner School to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In a joyful atmosphere, the children listened to President Tran Dai Quang's letter to teenagers and children on the occasion of the 2017 Mid-Autumn Festival, enjoyed musical performances, watched lion dances...
In the program, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam awarded scholarships from the City Children's Fund to 20 children with special circumstances, currently attending school, with good behavior, and good academic performance or better. In addition, 80 children in difficult circumstances from SOS Children's Village, Hermann Gmeiner School, Hoa Phuong Orphanage Village, and Center for Raising Disadvantaged Children of Thanh Xuan School of Social Labor received gifts from the City Children's Protection Fund.
