On the afternoon of May 10, comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone chaired a working session with leaders of related industries and Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company on the progress of the investment project to build two container terminals No. 3 and No. 4 at Hai Phong International Gateway Port.
According to the leaders of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, after the Prime Minister approved the investment policy, the enterprise actively carried out the necessary procedures and work. Specifically, topographic and geological surveys have been completed to serve the preparation of feasibility study reports; Please discuss the wharf route; basic design appraisal; Approve detailed planning projects; Complete approval of environmental impact assessment report; fire prevention and fighting... The company's shareholders' meeting approved the project at the end of April 2021. On May 12, a project launching ceremony will be held, practically celebrating the 66th anniversary of Hai Phong's Liberation Day.
However, to implement the project there is still a lot of work to be done and problems to be resolved. Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company requests the Economic Zone Management Board and related agencies to guide procedures related to land and water surface allocation; land and water surface leasing with tax incentives; Provide guidance on procedures related to issuance of investment registration certificates and investment incentives according to the provisions of law; Pay attention and work with functional agencies to remove problems regarding the location of receiving dredged material; Report to competent authorities to consider and approve the policy and arrange investment capital for the route behind wharf No. 3 and No. 4 of Hai Phong International Gateway Port; Pay attention to electricity and water supply. Comrade Le Trung Kien, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, highly appreciated the determination and efforts of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company in project implementation. He emphasized that the progress of wharves 3 and 4 has a direct impact on the deployment of the next wharves, therefore, Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company needs to speed up the progress further, strive to shorten the construction time, and soon put the 2 wharves into operation.
Regarding the proposals of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, Mr. Le Trung Kien affirmed that he will support and create maximum convenience for the tasks falling under the responsibility of the Economic Zone Management Board. At the same time, we will coordinate closely with relevant industries to consider and resolve proposals and recommendations from businesses. The Economic Zone Management Board will request the leaders of the City People's Committee to chair a meeting with leaders of relevant sectors to consider each issue and support the company in speeding up project implementation./.
