(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Decision on investment policy for the Project to renovate, upgrade and expand Mang Nuoc Street (from the intersection of Ton Duc Thang Street - National Highway 5 to Provincial Road 351) has just been officially approved at the 16th Session of the City People's Council, term XV, term 2016 - 2021.
The project to renovate, upgrade and expand Mang Nuoc street (from the intersection of Ton Duc Thang street - National Highway 5 to provincial road 351) belongs to Group B project, level III traffic works, invested by An Duong district People's Committee.
The project has a scale of renovating, upgrading and expanding Water Trough road with a length of 4.3km; roadbed width Bn=21m (renovated, upgraded and expanded on both sides); Design speed is 50km/h. Total project investment is nearly 379 billion VND from the city budget; Implementation time: 2020-2023.
The goal of the project is to contribute to completing the transportation infrastructure in accordance with the city's general development planning, contributing to promoting socio-economic development in the region in a stable and sustainable manner, ensuring convenient and safe transportation conditions, promoting investment attraction in the key high-tech area in the west of the city with development space being the high industrial park in An Duong district such as: Trang Due, Nomura, An Duong. Duong, An Hung – Dai Ban. At the same time, connect with the investment project to build a road connecting the Southern Bridge Binh intersection to the intersection of Ton Duc Thang street - Mang Nuoc street after this project is completed.
Mang Nuoc route (section from the intersection of Ton Duc Thang street - National Highway 5 to provincial road 351) is the main gateway connecting An Duong district center to the city center and main traffic routes. However, currently many sections of the route have been damaged and degraded, flooding often occurs during heavy rains, the road surface is narrow, and the traffic volume is high... therefore, there are many potential risks of traffic safety. Investment in construction, renovation, upgrading and expansion of the route will meet the traffic needs between An Duong district and the city center, in accordance with Resolution No. 45 of the Politburo on construction and development of Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
