(Haiphong.gov.vn) - After 1/2 day of urgent work, with a high sense of responsibility, the 17th (thematic) session of the City People's Council, term XVI, term 2021 - 2026, completed the proposed program contents and was a great success.

In his closing speech, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap stated that in the last 4 months, the City People's Council has organized 4 thematic meetings; In particular, the 17th Session is prepared at the same time as preparing the contents of the regular Session in mid-2024. Documents submitted to the Session are prepared with many difficult and complex contents but are guaranteed to be timely. This demonstrates the positive spirit and high responsibility of the City People's Council Committees who have carefully considered and made adjustments to ensure compliance with regulations, practicality and have been seriously absorbed by the City People's Committee to submit to the City People's Council.

At the 17th meeting, the City People's Council reviewed the Proposals of the City People's Committee, the verification reports of the City People's Council Committees, and the draft Resolution presented by the Secretary of the meeting. The City People's Council delegates raised their sense of responsibility, carefully researched the issues and voted and unanimously passed 07 Resolutions, including:
1. Adjusting the investment policy of the investment project to build technical infrastructure for land areas belonging to the Navy Command.
2. Adjusting the investment policy of the investment project to build technical infrastructure of the official military land area of Company PPK172/e240 and Battalion TL72/e285 of the Air Defense - Air Force.
3. Adjusting the investment policy of the investment project to build technical infrastructure of military reserve battlefield land of PPK172/e240 Company and PPK171/e240 Company of the Air Defense - Air Force.
4. Adjusting the investment policy of the investment project to build technical infrastructure of military land of Regiment 238/f363 and barracks land of Division 363 of the Air Defense - Air Force.
5. Funding support for implementing a number of expenditure tasks in the field of defense and security in 2024.
6. Adjust and supplement the List of projects and works requiring land recovery; State budget capital expected to be allocated for compensation and site clearance in the city in 2024.
7. Supplementing the List of projects and works to change the use purpose of rice cultivation land, protective forest land, and special-use forest land in the city in 2024.

Chairman of the City People's Council emphasized that these are extremely important Resolutions to develop and expand new urban space, speed up site clearance progress, implementation progress of key projects, disbursement of public investment capital, and consolidation of national defense and security in the city in 2024 and the following years. In order for the Resolutions to be implemented effectively, immediately after this meeting, the Chairman of the City People's Council requested the City People's Committee to urgently direct the development and immediate implementation of the Plan to organize the implementation of the Resolutions just passed by the City People's Council; ensuring efficiency, savings, and compliance with regulations; Standing Committees, Delegate Groups and City People's Council delegates focus on closely monitoring the implementation process to ensure serious and complete implementation.Comply with the contents of the Resolution of the City People's Council.
