(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 25, comrade Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, chaired the inspection and listened to progress reports of projects at Hai Phong City Sailing Training Area serving SEA Games 31. Reporting at the meeting, comrade Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, said that the project to repair the 03-storey executive building and 02-storey housing in Hai Phong city's sailing training area was approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 2310/QD-UBND dated August 16, 2021, including the following items: repair and replacement of air conditioners; doors, windows; restroom facilities; fan; lighting and electrical systems entering the house; Drainage systems inside and outside the house and surrounding areas; repaint the entire house and repair blistered and degraded walls, columns, floors, floors, beams, and ceilings; renovate the pump system; lightning protection system; fire prevention and fighting. Currently repairing the 3-storey Executive Building and House02 floors have been completed, the building is spacious, clean and beautiful, welcoming Vietnamese athletes (national team, and athletes from provinces) for accommodation and living.
The investment project to renovate and build a number of auxiliary items for Hai Phong City Sailing Training Area to serve Seagames 31 was approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 2081/QD-UBND dated July 26, 2021, including items: concrete yard in the area behind the stands; concrete yard in front of the flagpole; flagpole; riverside road section serving professional work; dredging the track; restroom and changing areas; parking lot; detailed diagram of rules; boat shed; Internal roads in the competition area; power source and lighting (for tents); green trees; seating for covered areas. To date, over 80% of the project items have been completed.

The renovation and construction of a number of items in Hai Phong city's sailing training area at the request of the Technical Expertise Subcommittee - Organizing Committee of SEA Games 31 and ASEAN Para Games 11 ensures that the layout according to the overall plan to serve the organization of SEA Games will be completed on schedule, promptly serving the organization of Rowing and Canoeing/Kayak racing competitions.
The purchase of equipment for the Hai Phong team in the Vietnam National team competing at SEA Games 31 such as: Rowing and Canoeing competition boats, competition oars, boat racks, life jackets... will be done by the SEA Games Organizing Committee.

In order for projects to be completed on schedule, ensuring construction time and quality of works to serve the organization of Rowing and Canoeing boat racing competitions; Vice Chairman of the City People's CommitteeLe Khac Nam Street requires investors and contractors to focus on speeding up progress and increasing equipment and labor. The consulting unit strengthens supervision to ensure project quality. The investor coordinates with the Department of Construction and related units to urgently adjust the project for items such as tree planting, leveling, etc. After the meeting, the Department of Finance prepares a document to grant guaranteed funding for the contractor to execute the project. Thuy Nguyen district leaders reported to the Standing District Party Committee to direct and speed up the construction progress of Road 359 to ensure aesthetics when organizing the boat race. The Department of Industry and Trade accepts and tests the transformer station. After the project is completed, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinates with the Department of Construction to complete procedures for handing over the project to the Training Center.n and Hai Phong sports competition management and use.
