Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong provided the Gia Hung City delegation with some basic information about the socio-economic development situation and city planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, the city aims to selectively attract three main economic pillars: high-tech industry, seaport - logistics and tourism - trade. In recent years, Hai Phong has always been among the top localities in the country in terms of attracting foreign investment capital and realized capital has reached a high rate of nearly 80% of registered capital. Total foreign investment capital attraction across the city in 2023 will reach 3.62 billion USD, 1.74 times higher than the same period in 2022, exceeding 81.16% of the plan.h attraction in 2023, is the second locality nationwide in attracting investment. Accordingly, to date, in the city there are 967 valid foreign investment projects with a total registered investment capital of 30.73 billion USD from investors from 39 countries and territories.
Currently, in Hai Phong there are 391 investment projects of Chinese investors (including mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) with a total registered investment capital of 6.12 billion USD. China is the second largest investor in Hai Phong in terms of total registered projects and ranks sixth in total investment capital. Chinese investment projects are mainly in the fields of: manufacturing and processing industry, investment and business in industrial park infrastructure and real estate, trade in services, and purchase and sale of goods. Chinese businesses in Hai Phong have made certain contributions to the city's economy and society, contributing to creating jobs and providing skills training for a large number of workers in the city.

At the Conference, Mayor of Gia Hung City Ly Quan thanked the warm welcome of Hai Phong city leaders.
