(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of November 21, the City People's Committee held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Construction Investment Project to renovate Road 359 from Thuy Trieu commune to the traffic axis of Ben Rung Urban and Industrial Area, Thuy Nguyen district with a total investment of nearly 1,200 billion VND. This is an event to celebrate the success of the 16th City Party Congress (term 2020 - 2025) and practically towards welcoming the 13th National Congress of the Party. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo member, Prime Minister attended and pressed the project start button.
Attending the Groundbreaking Ceremony, on the Central side, were comrades: Tran Van Son, Permanent Deputy Head of the Government Office; Nghiem Vu Khai, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
On the city side, there were comrades: Le Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Nghia, Head of Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Do Manh Hien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; with comrades of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; Vice Chairman of the People's Council and City People's Committee; former city leaders through different periods; leaders of departments, branches, branches and localities.
The driving force that makes Thuy Nguyen become a dynamic new economic region of the city
The investment project to build and renovate Road 359 from Thuy Trieu commune to the traffic axis of Ben Rung urban and industrial area, Thuy Nguyen district was approved by the City People's Committee according to Decision No. 2626/QD-UBND dated October 30, 2019. The project will contribute to gradually perfecting the transportation system in Thuy Nguyen district, improving infrastructure capacity, contributing to solving congestion and ensuring traffic safety, meeting the needs of connecting traffic from the city center via provincial road 359 with Minh Duc Industrial Park and the complex of historical relics - Trang Kenh - Bach Dang scenic spot, Tran Quoc Bao temple and mausoleum, Ben Rung urban and industrial area. Besides, route 359 continues to be invested in and builtg, renovation is also one of the driving forces to develop Thuy Nguyen district into a new dynamic economic region of the city.
The project has a construction scale of 2 components: Provincial road construction component 359, construction of 5,076m of secondary urban main street with design speed: 60km/h, (of which, section 1 through Thuy Trieu and Ngu Lao communes is 3,975m long, cross-sectional scale: 31.5m; section 2 through Tam Hung commune, long 1,101m, cross-sectional scale: 23m) and the Resettlement Area Construction Component, building the road to the resettlement area 720m long with cross-sectional scale: 24.75m (including bridge across Hon Ngoc canal), infrastructure construction includes: leveling; internal road system, sidewalks, trees; rainwater and wastewater drainage systems; Civil power supply system, lighting power system...
The project will contribute to expanding economic space
Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung affirmed that this is an important event in connecting Hai Phong city with Quang Ninh province to serve socio-economic development, while expanding the city's urban space to the North, aiming to transform Thuy Nguyen district into a city under the city before 2025 in the spirit of the City Party Congress Resolution. Chairman Nguyen Van Tung emphasized that this will be one of the largest and most beautiful roads in Thuy Nguyen district, one of the routes that the city focuses its investment resources on construction. Once completed, along with the Ben Rung Bridge that is about to be built in the near future, route 359 will contribute to perfecting traffic infrastructure, reducing congestion in the area, improving synchronous connectivity between the city center and Thuy Nguyen district and connecting with Quang Ninh province, meeting the needs of goods transportation, promoting tourism development and continuing to open up opportunities to exploit land funds for urban development along both sides of the route.
In order for the project to be implemented on schedule and completed as expected, the Chairman requested contractors to quickly carry out construction work; ensure safety for vehicles participating in traffic during construction; ensure the technical and aesthetic quality of the project according to schedule; City Departments, committees and branches coordinate to arrange capital sources for the project, along with the Investor and related units to create all conditions to resolve difficulties and obstacles so that the Project can be implemented on schedule; Thuy Nguyen district focuses on speeding up site clearance work and handing over construction sites to contractors as soon as possible.
