On the morning of September 11 at Nomura Hai Phong Industrial Park, Hestra Matsuoka Vietnam Company held the Inauguration Ceremony and officially put into operation the Glove Factory with a total investment of more than 2.5 million USD.
Attending the inauguration ceremony, there was comrade Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Pereric Hogberg, Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam; together with representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches.
Founded in 1936, Hestra has grown into an international glove manufacturing company with products sold in more than 30 countries with annual sales of approximately 45 million USD. In 2018, Hestra decided to invest in building the newest factory in Hai Phong to increase production capacity.
Speaking at the Inauguration Ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Thanh acknowledged the determination to invest and develop production of Hestra Matsuoka Vietnam Company in Nomura Hai Phong Industrial Park, which will contribute to the city's industrial growth.
The Vice Chairman emphasized that Hestra Company, a leading European brand in the field of glove manufacturing, investing in Nomura Industrial Park can be considered a good signal for potential investors from Europe and especially from the Kingdom of Sweden to continue to choose Hai Phong city as an investment location in the near future.
Hai Phong City strongly welcomes and is willing to create favorable conditions for the Company to carry out successful production and business activities in the city, the Vice Chairman affirmed.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thanh also hopes that Hestra Matsuoka Vietnam Company will focus all the best resources to maintain the quality and brand of international products in the domestic market and export abroad, and believes that the sustainable development and growth of the Company will become a good symbol of solidarity and friendship between the two countries Vietnam and Switzerland.
