(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of March 30, the People's Committee of Cat Hai district held the inauguration of the Cat Hai Island Resettlement Area Construction Investment Project - Phase 1. This is an event in a series of activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Cat Ba and Cat Hai fishing villages (March 31, 1959 - March 31, 2024).

The Cat Hai Island Resettlement Area Construction Investment Project - Phase 1 was approved by the City People's Committee in Decision No. 2858 dated October 30, 2017, with a total investment of: 495,738 million VND, of which the city budget is 425,738 million VND, the district budget is 70,000 million VND.

Aware of the meaning, importance and assigned responsibilities, along with the close attention, leadership and direction of the District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the district; With the coordination and facilitation of city departments and branches, Cat Hai district's Construction Investment Project Management Board has determined and proactively coordinated well with construction contractors, design consultants, supervision consultants and related units to agree on the construction progress, overcome difficulties and obstacles to carry out construction of work items according to approved design documents. Thereby, organizing the implementation and completion of construction works to ensure technical and aesthetic requirements and progress according to the plan.

The completed project has met the resettlement needs of households subject to site clearance on Cat Hai island. At the same time, building a resettlement land fund, contributing to the development of regional infrastructure, creating conditions to promote the socio-economic development of the district.
