(Haiphong.gov.vn) – According to new information received from the Hai Phong Department of Health, after receiving Document No. 5/2020/TB dated October 5, 2020 from K.C.V.N Company announcing a suspected case of COVID-19 in Japan, the Department of Health has coordinated with the People's Committee of Le Chan and Thuy Nguyen districts to take measures to handle the outbreak. regarding this case.

Accordingly, the suspected case is Mr. T.K (born in 1987, Japanese nationality) working at K.C.V.N Company, with an address in Thuy Nguyen district, currently Mr. T.K is living in Le Chan district. Mr. T.K went to Vietnam to work from June 26, 2018, and on October 5, 2020, he flew back to Japan on Asianna Airline OZ 112 flight, landing in Osaka, Japan at 10:10 on the same day.
Mr. T.K went to Vietnam to work from June 26, 2018 and has not returned home yet. This time, I didn't go anywhere outside of Hai Phong. I took the bus every day with 13 people and a driver from T.T Company from home to work. Before returning to Japan, Mr. T.K held a farewell party with his colleagues. According to information from Mr. T.K, after landing at Osaka airport, he was tested using the PCR method and the result was positive.
Immediately after receiving information about Mr. T.K's case, the Hai Phong Department of Health urgently implemented measures to handle the outbreak. As of 9:00 p.m. on October 5, 2020, through review, 162 F1 cases have been identified, currently being quarantined at home and residence; took 125 test samples and sent them to the City Preventive Health Center for testing. District Health Centers are continuing to investigate and review F2 cases.
In addition, the Department of Health directed Mr. T.K's workplace and residence to be disinfected, and at the same time blocked the entire 5th floor of R.P Hotel (in Le Chan district) including 13 rooms, spraying disinfectant and disinfectant on the 5th floor and reception area of the hotel. Quarantining 6 people are the receptionist and room service staff at the hotel while waiting for the second test results.
In the near future, the Department of Health requests that K.C.V.N Company continue to discuss with Mr. T.K in Japan to get information about the next test results; At the same time, continue to trace close contacts and people in contact with close contacts of the patient (F1, F2) to take samples, implement appropriate health monitoring and medical quarantine measures; Direct relevant units and localities to implement epidemic prevention measures appropriate to the actual situation.
