Promoting the exploitation of investment potential between Vietnam and Greece is an important content in the coming time
Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Vu Dai Thang and Greek Ambassador Ioannis Raptakis focused on discussing a number of specific cooperation contents, in order to promote investment relations between businesses of the two countries Vietnam - Greece in the coming time.

As of September 2018, there were only 02 projects of Greek investors in Vietnam, with a total registered investment capital of 50 thousand USD, ranking 122nd among 129 countries and territories with direct investment in Vietnam. Meanwhile, there are no projects of Vietnamese enterprises investing in Greece.
To continue promoting the formation of investment projects between businesses of the two countries. In addition to assessing the investment situation, Deputy Minister Vu Dai Thang and Ambassador Ioannis Raptakis also agreed on a number of important orientations and cooperation contents, with the policy that Greek businesses consider Vietnam as a potential market and Vietnamese businesses pay attention to learning about business in Greece...
Specifically, the main solutions expected to be researched and implemented as soon as possible include: Creating further conditions for the Vietnamese and Greek business communities to have opportunities to exchange, interact, and understand more about the environment and policies to attract foreign investment of each country. Relevant investment agencies of the two countries coordinate well, implementing investment promotion programs and promoting and introducing the images of the two countries. Besides, focus on attracting investment from Greece to Vietnam, in areas where Vietnam has demand and Greece has strengths, such as: food processing, textiles, chemicals, mining, metal products...
With the above positive measures, along with the attention of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, as well as from relevant Greek agencies. Certainly, new projects in key areas will be deployed more successfully by Vietnamese and Greek businesses.
Two projects that Greek investors are implementing in Vietnam include: Orient shipping and service project, in the field of transportation and warehousing, and Logos Consulting Co., Ltd. project in the science and technology industry. Both projects were implemented in June and August 2018.
