(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of May 10, at Vietnam Maritime University, Vietnam Automation Association in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (Science and Technology) of Hai Phong, Vietnam Maritime University organized the Opening of the 7th International Scientific Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation (VCCA 2024) with the theme "Automation, digital transformation to promote green economic development".
Attending the Opening Ceremony were comrades: Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology; Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Nguyen Quan, former member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association; Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The scientific conference took place over 2 days in a live format, including a plenary session with 19 Subcommittees and 4 Plenary Session Reports from Korea, Japan, Australia and Vietnam. Compared to the 6th VCCA, VCCA 2024 has a larger number of submissions, 168 articles from nearly 360 authors. The Organizing Committee selected 144 reports to present at the Conference, focusing on topics such as: control of electrical machines and transmissions; power electronic control; energy systems and renewable energy; modeling and controlling industrial robots and mobile robots; IoT, BigData, AI; sensor networks and intelligent measurement and control systems; Automation in the shipbuilding industry...

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong emphasized: This International Scientific Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation this time with extremely rich content, high scientific quality, with the active participation of a large number of scientists, research institutes, universities, domestic and foreign businesses, and the careful preparation of the Organizing Committee, contributes to the country's efforts in the transition process towards growth. green, digital economic development, circular economy as set out by the Conference's criteria: Automation and Digital Transformation promote green economic development.
The conference held in Hai Phong will be a good opportunity for managers, scientists, entrepreneurs, students and the city's people to access, learn information, exchange and learn, contributing to promoting the application of Cybernetics and Automation in the city's socio-economic development. Speaking at the Conference, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat emphasized that after 13 years of implementation, VCCA has become a large, prestigious forum domestically and internationally, with the participation of many leading domestic and international scientists, technology experts, and manufacturers in the field of control and automation. On this occasion, the Minister of Science and Technology ordered a number of contents for the Vietnam Automation Association, in which, he requested the Association to further strengthen connection and technology transfer from advanced technology suppliers in the world to promote the application of technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution in the field of control and automation. The Association coordinates with the Ministry of Science and Technology to promote support for Vietnamese organizations and businesses in the field of automationCarry out research, application, technology improvement and digital transformation towards green, clean, economical and efficient use of energy through national science and technology programs. The Association actively contributes opinions in developing policies and laws on science, technology and innovation.
