2. On September 29, Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink visited Ky Dong General Clinic, the first private medical facility supported by the US CDC/PEPFAR to provide free Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis services. The Ambassador highlighted cooperation in the health sector between the United States and Vietnam. Ky Dong clinic has been very successful and attracted 165 people to use PrEP in just five months. The United States Government is proud to support one of the outstanding medical facilities and community groups collaborating in the effort to end HIV in Vietnam.

3. On September 28, Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink visited Vietnam Maritime University. Here, the Ambassador discussed with the university's lecturers and students the partnership between the United States and Vietnam and the United States' support for freedom of navigation and economic development opportunities throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

4. Ambassador Daniel J. Kritenbrink highlighted the cooperation in the medical field between the United States and Vietnam when visiting the Le Chan Methadone Treatment Facility in Hai Phong city supported by PEPFAR, on September 29. This is a place that supports effective treatment and recovery for heroin addicts. Through sustained methadone treatment and effective psychosocial support in the community, Vietnam is helping patients with drug use disorders recover, improve their lives and become productive members of society.
