(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of June 23, comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board worked with the Working Group of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai Province led by Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on learning and exchanging experiences in management and investment in developing Hai Phong Economic Zone. At the meeting, representatives of leaders of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and city departments and branches discussed and clarified a number of issues that the Working Group of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee is interested in such as: Specific mechanisms and policies for developing Hai Phong city according to Resolution No. 35/2021/QH15 dated November 13, 2021 of the National Assembly; investment model, infrastructure management of industrial parks, economic zones and specific support mechanisms and policies of Hai Phong Economic Zone; pilot process of converting traditional industrial parks to ecological industrial park models, towards a circular economy model in Hai Phong.

In the first six months of 2024, industrial parks and economic zones in the city attract 67 projects with a total investment capital of 722 million USD (including 687 million USD of FDI capital, reaching 34.35% of the year's plan; 812 billion VND of domestic investment capital, reaching 8.12% of the year's plan). Accumulated to date, industrial parks and economic zones have attracted 784 projects with a total capital of 38.29 billion USD. Including 561 FDI projects with total investment capital estimated at 24.59 billion USD; 223 domestic investment projects with total investment capital estimated at 320,565 billion VND, equivalent to 13.7 billion USD.
