(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 29, at the City Convention Center, the City People's Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology organized a conference to evaluate the results of the implementation of the Program for coordinating activities on Science, Technology and Innovation between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Committee of Hai Phong city in 2023; Update and supplement the content of tasks in 2024. Coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to develop data to calculate the Local Innovation Index (PII) in Hai Phong. Issue 3 legal documents related to the fields of science, technology and innovation. Deploy work with the Minister of Science and Technology on iron plansArrange the building and land of the Do Son Scientific Workshop for the city to manage. Along with that, coordinate to deploy tasks on Digital Transformation of Hai Phong city until 2025, with a vision to 2030, specific fields of science, technology and innovation: Complete 3/3 of the tasks of building a database in the field of Science, Technology & Innovation; organize scientific conferences on digital transformation associated with the city's socio-economic development goals; Opening and putting into operation "Hai Phong city's digital transformation support consulting point" - this is the first consulting and support point established in the country to support the people and businesses of Hai Phong. Issued Decision No. 1064 dated April 24, 2023 approving the Science and Technology Program to serve the construction of new rural areas in Hai Phong city until 2025.
Completed the appraisal of projects and plans of the city submitted to the Government to ensure progress and quality such as: Hai Phong city planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050; Hai Phong City Urban Government Construction Project. Complete the pilot application of TCVN ISO 18091:2020 standards in 12 districts, wards and communes in Hai Phong city; Support businesses to apply quality systems according to Vietnamese and international regulations and standards.
Successfully organized Techfest Hai Phong 2023 on an international scale. At the event, technology supply and demand connections were organized for many organizations and businesses in the city with foreign organizations and businesses. Successfully organized 2 working groups to survey and connect technology supply and demand in Korea and Europe (France, Germany, Belgium). After the business trips, a number of partners from other countries visited and signed cooperation agreements with organizations and businesses in the city.
Deploy research and develop 3 projects to make Hai Phong a key for developing marine science and technology in the Northern region and the whole country, including: (1) Research and develop a project to build Hai Phong into an international center for training, research, and application of marine science and technology; (2) Research and develop a project to build Hai Phong Innovation and Startup Support Center; (3) Research and develop Hai Phong city's marine science and technology program until 2030.
Implementing a city-level pilot production project: "Improving the technology of treating phosphorus gypsum waste of DAP - Dinh Vu Fertilizer Factory producing cement additives, materials for road foundations and foundations, and construction leveling materials" to treat phosphorus gypsum waste of DAP - Dinh Vu Fertilizer Factory that has been left for many years, causing environmental pollution, affecting the lives and health of the city's people.
In the coming time, continue to strengthen coordination with agencies and units under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Departments, branches and branches of the city to effectively deploy specific contents according to the approved Coordination Program Implementation Plan. The city will make maximum efforts to allocate resources for science, technology and innovation, contributing to the good implementation of the goals and contents of the Coordination Program.
Science and technology units sign cooperation agreement
At the Conference, science and technology units signed a cooperation agreement in training human resources for IC and semiconductor design between Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company with the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, Department of Science and Technology and Hai Phong University.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology highly appreciated the leadership and direction of the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the City for science, technology and innovation activities and recognized the results of the Program to coordinate activities on science, technology and innovation between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Committee of Hai Phong City in 2023. The Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to coordinate and support the city to implement the contents of the Program to coordinate science, technology and innovation activities in 2024. Regarding the city's proposals and recommendations, the Ministry of Science and Technology agreed on the policy of assigning functional units under the Ministry to be the focal point to guide implementation.
