(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 22, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho inspected the progress of the Rao Bridge Construction Investment Project. Accompanied by leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.
The Rao Bridge construction investment project is one of the city's key traffic projects, launched on October 13, 2020, the project's goal is to technically open to traffic before January 25, 2022.

According to the report of the Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is currently in the sprint construction phase, all human resources are mobilized on the construction site to maintain 9 construction sites in all items.

The most complex item, the construction of the main span and steel arch boundary span, has also achieved important progress milestones. Installed all main span steel arch segments of 898.5 tons of arches and arch bracing with a length of 264/264m (18/18 arch segments); The 36 cable bundles of the main arch have been tensioned and activated, and the bridge deck concrete slabs are being prepared... The technical infrastructure construction item of Lach Tray road is being undergrounded by the contractor for the low voltage electrical system combined with pavement construction. Implementation value is estimated at 87% of the contract.

Reporting at the meeting, representatives of the Project Management Board proposed that Ngo Quyen and Hai An districts urgently mobilize households in Dang Giang ward and Dang Lam ward to soon receive compensation and hand over land for bridge and intersection construction. Regarding site clearance to serve the construction of technical infrastructure on Lach Tray road, it is recommended that Ngo Quyen district soon approve the plan for 21 households in Dang Giang ward, Lach Tray road; Le Chan district approved the plan for 3 households with land in the traffic corridor of Kenh Duong ward and Lach Tray street.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Tho requested the contractor consortium to mobilize human resources and vehicles to organize construction in 3 consecutive shifts to ensure the project reaches its destination on schedule.
Concluding the instructions at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho emphasized that the Rao Bridge investment project is expected to meet the city's development needs in the coming years. At this time, the completion target of the Project has been set, however, the remaining amount of work is very large, requiring great efforts and determination from the Project Investor, local authorities, as well as the Joint Venture of Contractors and Supervision Consultants in site clearance and construction organization to ensure the project reaches its destination on schedule.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Contractor Consortium to gather equipment and construction workers to complete the entire project's bunds and railings before January 25, 2022, related to households in Dang Giang ward, Lach Tray street. The Vice Chairman requested Ngo Quyen district to organize construction protection to ensure the progress of the Project. At the same time, the contractor consortium mobilized human resources and vehicles to organize construction in 3 consecutive shifts, ensuring the completion of all construction items before January 25, 2022, and at the same time completing the installation of signage and traffic guidance systems.

Assign the Project Management Board to closely monitor construction work, ensure technical and aesthetic requirements, prepare procedures and conditions for technical traffic clearance, and report to the city before January 15, 2022. Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested departments and branches to coordinate with the Project Management Board to remove obstacles and ensure technical traffic clearance of the project according to plan.
