(Haiphong.gov.vn) – Decision on investment policy for the Ben Rung bridge construction investment project connecting Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city and Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province has just been approved at the 16th session of the City People's Council, term XV, term 2016 - 2021.

With the goal of improving traffic service capacity, creating a traffic connection system and meeting transportation needs between industrial parks, industrial clusters, and people in Thuy Nguyen district and Quang Yen town in particular, between Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province in general. Gradually complete the transportation network of Hai Phong city, Quang Ninh province and the Northern key economic region, contributing to the socio-economic and cultural development of localities in the project area.
The project has the scale of constructing a new Ben Rung bridge with a permanent structure across Da Bach river with a bridge length of about 1,857.6m; Build the road leading to both ends of the bridge according to the scale of a 4-lane level III plain road, the cross-section of the road is 22.5m wide, about 340m long (the road leading to the bridge on Hai Phong city side is about 300m, on Quang Ninh province side is about 40m); Install lighting systems and signs according to current standards.
Total project investment is nearly 1,950 billion VND from the central budget, Hai Phong city budget and Quang Ninh province budget.
Project preparation and implementation phase: 2021 - 2024.
Completion phase of construction, putting the project into operation: Fourth quarter of 2024.
