Recently, all levels of the City Red Cross have advised the Party Committee and local authorities to effectively implement support activities for the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and the weak. Total humanitarian value in the first quarter reached 28.4 billion VND. In particular, implementing the Tet Charity Movement, the city has organized 3 Tet Market programs, 22 gift giving programs with a total humanitarian value of 21 billion VND, helping 43,000 people. 249 schools across the city participated in the Campaign "Contributing small coins for great gratitude - Giving early spring gifts to help poor friends and victims of Agent Orange" contributing over 4 billion VND, supporting 4,420 gifts for poor students overcoming difficulties, students who are children of Agent Orange victims. Besides, theThe Association proactively implements preparation activities for Humanitarian Month 2024, mobilizes donors to support modern medicine for people and fishermen in Bach Long Vi district, provides humanitarian medical examination and provides livelihoods in Dien Bien province.
